Caggiano Plaza State Senior Housing Program
The State State Senior/Disabled Housing Program (667) provides subsidized housing for low income seniors and disabled residents.
This program consists of 351 one bedroom units at a variety of locations throughout the City of Lynn. Each unit has a full kitchen.
There are laundry facilities and community spaces at each location. The State Management Staff and Resident Services Coordinator work closely with residents to assist them in obtaining services and to plan trips and events.
The State Family Housing Program
The State Family Housing Program (705) provides subsidized
housing for low income families. This program consists of 39 units ranging in
size from two to five bedrooms.
These properties are located throughout the City of Lynn. Each location provides off street parking. The State Management Staff and Resident Services Coordinator work closely with residents to assist them in obtaining services. The Management Office for both State programs is located at Caggiano Plaza.
Applications for any of these programs can be obtained at the
LHAND's Application Office located at LHAND's Admissions office located at
174 South Common Street, (Caggiano Plaza), Lynn when the program's waiting list is open.
Curwin Circle
The Curwin Circle Federal Family Housing Program provides
subsidized housing for low income families and individuals. Curwin Circle
consists of 278 units ranging in size from one to five bedrooms. There is an
onsite Management Office. The Curwin Circle Management staff provides
assistance to residents that goes beyond meeting their housing needs. Staff
also assist residents with job search, developing computer skills, seeking day
care and transportation, to name a few areas of involvement. Curwin residents
are also eligible to apply for participation in the Family Self-Sufficiency
program, which involves the development of a plan for families to overcome the
impediments to seeking market rate housing or home ownership.
Curwin Circle also
has an active Resident Council, a recreation hall, a computer lab and various
youth activities. Of particular note is the LHAND's partnership with Gordon
College, which provides tutoring and homework help to Curwin youth.
Wall Plaza
The Wall Plaza Federal Senior/Disabled Housing Program provides
subsidized housing for low income seniors and disabled residents. Wall Plaza
consists of 176 one bedroom units. Each unit has a full kitchen. There is an
onsite Management Office. Wall Plaza has an active Resident Council. There are
also several community spaces and laundry facilities on site.
The Wall Plaza
Manager and Resident Services Coordinator work closely with residents to assist
them with a variety of activities including arranging transportation to
doctor's offices and supermarkets, as well as planning trips and events. For more
